The 6th of May 2017 has been a memorable day for 85 students from group I, J, ID1, A and B as they came together as graduates of Inter Excel’s 42nd Graduation Ceremony. This event was graced by Inter Excel’s directors, Mr. Hillary Miranda and Madam Chong Siew Fong, along with our prestigious trainers Mr. Roslan, Madam Karen, and Mr. Jaganathan at the Ballroom of Royale Bintang hotel, Bukit Bintang.

Emceed by Mr. Anis and Ms. Stephanie the ceremony kicked off with an opening performance by Lydia, student of ID1, with her rendition of How Far I’ll Go. It was then continued with the students pledge that is always recited before the start of every class in Inter Excel, led by Ridzuan Nadzri from ID2.

We then proceeded with Mr. Roslan’s opening speech where he shared his account with his students from the moment they stepped into Inter Excel. Then, our beloved principal, Mr. Hillary Miranda presented his speech in which he offered his warmest gratitude to the respective parents for being such good support system to the students. He then announced of SATS intention to an interview to recruit ground staff as they were very much satisfied with our graduates working who are currently employed by them. He also took the opportunity to congratulate the students whom have already been accepted by the numerous airlines as a cabin crew.

The following agenda was the video screening which was a compilation of all the recent Inter Excel high flyers and success stories of the students, successfully selected by the airlines. The guests were then invited to help themselves to the food and drinks prepared. As the guests enjoyed their refreshments, they were entertained by a fashion show performed by students of ID2 with the theme of Gala Prom.

The Graduation Ceremony proceeded with the presentation of Achievement Award Ceremony to the students who have been accepted by the airlines namely Scoot Air and Singapore Airlines. It was then followed by a testimonial from Lydia Tan Ban Jing, who has been accepted into Scoot Air. Her testimonial was moving as she talked about the academy that lead her into achieving her dreams. Another inspirational testimonial was presented by the latest Singapore girl on the list, Nicole Ng Li Shen who was accepted by the prestigious Singapore Airlines.

Five students from ID1 were presented the Appreciation Certificate for their selfless volunteering efforts. The event was then continued by a fusion dance performance from Phaveetra, an ID3 student, where it was interesting to watch emerging talents. The ceremony then moved on to the Attendance Award Presentation to the students of group I, J, ID1, A and B.

Soon after the certificates were presented, another good performance from Chai, Carmen and Kenneth from ID2, singing Xiao Xin Yun serenaded the afternoon. The singing then continued with two special performances by the GMP students all the way from Indonesia. Chandra and Maria both sang gracefully to a Malaysian and an evergreen tune respectively. A duet performance from Alveena from Group J and Vivian from Group B singing The Climb by Miley Cyrus followed suit.

The ceremony continued with the presentation of the token of appreciation to Madam Karen for being our honored guest for the ceremony. Subsequently, the GMP students received their Certificate which was presented by Mr. Roslan along with Mr. Adam their representative who received a token of appreciation from Inter Excel. ID1 burst out onto the stage giving out an energetic dance performance as the crowd cheered them on. The ceremony then proceeded to the first lucky draw session, where the first lucky winner was presented with a gift basket. The most anticipated performance, was a Bollywood mash up by the ever hyped up ID2 students as they entertained the guests while most were seen shaking their heads in accordance to the performance.

After the performance, a voting card is brought around by our fellow students to determine the best performance award. The final performance of the evening came from Nicole and Kenneth of ID1 who sang a medley of the Shape of You and Can’t Help Falling in Love to the guests there. The guests also awaited hopefully for the lucky draws given out by Madam Karen.

Irish Diploma 2 : The 'Happening' Bunch

A group of 27 students from different background, age and culture started early this year and ended their first semester with an exam on the 8th of April 2017. The characters and bond that this group of Diploma students are exemplary and not to mention their talents as well. Group ID 2 are ever willing to showcase their talents from dancing to singing on any given occasion. They have two more semesters left before reaching the dreams they aspire through Diploma in International Travel Industry Studies. No matter whichever organization they end up with, we are sure that they will be great team players with their respective airlines or airports.

Here are the pictures of the students before starting with us and the after pictures of our ID2. The transformation of these students are the result of training and grooming by our instructors and trainers in making them a world class cabin crew.

As they journey takes place, they are taught on how to interact with others courteously and with confidence. As interaction, communication and appearance should be an important possession of a cabin crew. They always start the class with the Inter-Excel pledge and end the class with their group cheer.
During their first semester, they were exposed to subjects such as airport codes, communication skills, English support and many others too. Among the assignments that were assigned to them is describing their hometown using slides, present on a European country and another assignment that required them to interact with foreigners and of different types of people. In that assignment, students have approached random foreigners and questioned their whereabouts in Malaysia.

Aside from all the airline knowledge that they have gotten from the fellow trainers, they have also learned the meaning of friendship, togetherness and hard work. They have always been cheerful along with being polite and often help around when needed, especially when they are asked to go to Malaysian school’s career fair or career talk as a student ambassador.
Group Irish Diploma 2 has certainly set the benchmark for the other groups to emulate and we look forward to more students with the right attitude and character.
