The 6th of May
2017 has been a memorable day for 85 students from group I, J, ID1, A and B as
they came together as graduates of Inter Excel’s 42nd Graduation
Ceremony. This event was graced by Inter Excel’s directors, Mr. Hillary Miranda
and Madam Chong Siew Fong, along with our prestigious trainers Mr. Roslan,
Madam Karen, and Mr. Jaganathan at the Ballroom of Royale
Bintang hotel, Bukit Bintang.
Emceed by Mr. Anis and Ms.
Stephanie the ceremony kicked off with an opening performance by Lydia, student
of ID1, with her rendition of How Far I’ll Go. It was then continued with the
students pledge that is always recited before the start of every class in Inter
Excel, led by Ridzuan Nadzri from ID2.
We then proceeded with Mr.
Roslan’s opening speech where he shared his account with his students from the moment
they stepped into Inter Excel. Then, our beloved principal, Mr. Hillary Miranda
presented his speech in which he offered his warmest gratitude to the respective
parents for being such good support system to the students. He then announced of
SATS intention to an interview to recruit ground staff as they were very much
satisfied with our graduates working who are currently employed by them. He
also took the opportunity to congratulate the students whom have already been
accepted by the numerous airlines as a cabin crew.
The following agenda was the video screening which was a compilation of
all the recent Inter Excel high flyers and success stories of the students,
successfully selected by the airlines. The guests were then invited to help themselves
to the food and drinks prepared. As the guests enjoyed their refreshments, they
were entertained by a fashion show performed by students of ID2 with the theme
of Gala Prom.
The Graduation Ceremony proceeded
with the presentation of Achievement Award Ceremony to the students who have
been accepted by the airlines namely Scoot Air and Singapore Airlines. It was
then followed by a testimonial from Lydia Tan Ban Jing, who has been accepted
into Scoot Air. Her testimonial was moving as she talked about the academy that
lead her into achieving her dreams. Another inspirational testimonial was presented
by the latest Singapore girl on the list, Nicole Ng Li Shen who was accepted by
the prestigious Singapore Airlines.
Five students from ID1 were
presented the Appreciation Certificate for their selfless volunteering efforts.
The event was then continued by a fusion dance performance from Phaveetra, an
ID3 student, where it was interesting to watch emerging talents. The ceremony
then moved on to the Attendance Award Presentation to the students of group I,
J, ID1, A and B.
Soon after the certificates
were presented, another good performance from Chai, Carmen and Kenneth from
ID2, singing Xiao Xin Yun serenaded the afternoon. The singing then continued
with two special performances by the GMP students all the way from Indonesia.
Chandra and Maria both sang gracefully to a Malaysian and an evergreen tune
respectively. A duet performance from Alveena from Group J and Vivian from
Group B singing The Climb by Miley Cyrus followed suit.
The ceremony continued with
the presentation of the token of appreciation to Madam Karen for being our
honored guest for the ceremony. Subsequently, the GMP students received their
Certificate which was presented by Mr. Roslan along with Mr. Adam their
representative who received a token of appreciation from Inter Excel. ID1 burst out onto the stage giving
out an energetic dance performance as the crowd cheered them on. The ceremony
then proceeded to the first lucky draw session, where the first lucky winner
was presented with a gift basket. The most anticipated performance, was a
Bollywood mash up by the ever hyped up ID2 students as they entertained the
guests while most were seen shaking their heads in accordance to the
performance.
After the performance, a
voting card is brought around by our fellow students to determine the best
performance award. The final performance of the evening came from Nicole and
Kenneth of ID1 who sang a medley of the Shape of You and Can’t Help Falling in
Love to the guests there. The guests also awaited hopefully for the lucky draws
given out by Madam Karen.
The ceremony ended with a
closing speech from Mr. Hillary who wished well for all the guests who had come
to attend this joyous ceremony. ID2 was nominated as the best performers for
their well put choreography. The ceremony came to an end around 4.30 pm with
group pictures taken. Inter Excel’s warmest gratitude goes out to all those who
came together in making this event a success. Inter Excel also wishes all the
very best to the graduates in aspiring to reach the dreams.
